(the “Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) establishes this Privacy Policy (this “Policy”) regarding the handling of personal information of users (tourists) and guide partners (those who enter into an outsourcing agreement with the Company) in connection with the tourism guide service “YURAGI” (the “Service”) provided on this website.
Article 1 (Definition of Personal Information)
“Personal Information” means “personal information” as defined under Japan’s Act on the Protection of Personal Information, and refers to information about a living individual that can identify a specific person, including but not limited to: name, date of birth, address, telephone number, email address, bank account details, credit card information, details recorded on identity verification documents, service usage history, location information, and audio/video recordings.
Article 2 (Methods of Collecting Personal Information)
2.1 Information obtained from Users (Tourists)
Information entered at the time of reservation: name, address, telephone number, email address, payment information, passport details (for foreign nationals), and other information necessary for the provision of the Service.
Information automatically collected through the use of the Service: access logs, cookies and similar technologies, device identifiers, and related technical data.
2.2 Information obtained from Guide Partners
Information provided at the time of registration: name, address, telephone number, email address, date of birth, bank account information, identity verification information, career/qualification information, and similar details.
Information necessary for contract execution, compensation/payment processing, and tax procedures.
2.3 Information obtained from Third Parties
Usage history, payment results, and other information provided by our partners, including payment processors, cloud service providers, and advertising distributors.
Article 3 (Purposes of Use)
We use the collected Personal Information for the following purposes:
To provide, maintain, and operate the Service.
To process reservations, changes, cancellations, and related procedures.
To match users with guide partners and to perform guiding services and related operations.
To process payments for service fees. Note: We do not directly obtain or store credit card information; such information is processed through payment processors.
To pay compensation to guide partners and handle associated tax processing.
To conduct identity verification, prevent fraudulent use, ensure security, and address disputes or incidents.
To respond to inquiries and provide customer support (including identity verification).
To improve the quality of the Service, provide information on new features or campaigns, and conduct surveys and other marketing research.
To analyze usage and optimize advertising through cookies and similar technologies.
To conduct market analysis and develop new services using anonymized and statistical data.
To perform other tasks incidental to the purposes listed above.
Article 4 (Provision to Third Parties)
We will not provide Personal Information to third parties without the prior consent of the individual, except in the following cases:

Article 5 (Outsourcing of Handling)
We may entrust the handling of Personal Information to third parties to the extent necessary to achieve the purposes of use. In such cases, we will appropriately select the contractor and supervise them through measures such as concluding confidentiality agreements and conducting necessary oversight.
